FISHMAN
ACUPRESSURE & CHIROPRACTIC
Dr. Robb Fishman

My name is Dr. Robb Fishman. I have been a practicing Chiropractor since 1989. Here is my personal journey and how I became a Chiropractor.
I first began college as an art/music major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. One fateful day changed my life forever - I was involved in a traumatic car accident in Ocean City, Md.
My injuries were severe and the pain was non-relenting for two years. I was referred to Dr. Conrad Matz, a chiropractor, after seeing four medical doctors. I was very apprehensive because I heard “bad things” about chiropractors. Dr. Matz performed an exam and took X-rays. He diagnosed me with a simple pinched nerve in my cervical spine. He removed the nerve interference and I was pain free within three weeks.
Long story short, I was so impressed that I immediately changed my major and found my way to chiropractic college in the winter of 1985. I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
I graduated in the spring of 1989 (with honors and Bachelor of Science degree). Eight years from start to finish. The new question became…. “Now What?”
I was just out of school with no money to start my own practice, so I worked for Dr. John Pedrow, but, I wanted to open a practice of my own. I needed money for an office, however, I could not get a loan. Finally my father put his house up as collateral for a small business loan. I need to take the time to say … My father’s never ending faith and belief helped guide me. Without that I would not be in practice today. In addition, Dr. Conrad Matz and Dr. Thomas Kalkstein were a very large part of my growth process.
My practice is somewhat different from most. Although I am a chiropractor, I believe that muscles are just as vital as the spinal joints. This is why the name of my clinic is Fishman Acupressure & Chiropractic. I want my patients to know we focus on the musculature system along with correcting spinal subluxations (misaligned vertebrae). Patients who feel better are released and will be seen if they have problems in the future. I don’t believe in treating patients forever, just enough to have them pain free and send them on their way.
My commitment to patient care is easy. Treat people with respect, care for them the way I was cared for by Dr. Matz. It is possible to have fun along the way and still get people well. We are serious about your health, yet, we are all just people. We treat our patients like a friend or a neighbor.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site I hope you have a good idea who I am and what I believe in.
Chiropractically yours,
Dr. Robb Fishman
